I used them, as a backplate in my new guest bathroom. They are a perfect size, look and weight for the antique brass figures that they are holding.

This matched a set of mortise door locks I purchase for doors in a hallway. This was darker than pictured, but for my purposes the antiquing was indistinguishable from the antique door locks purchased for three doors in the same hall. The metal is heavy cast. The finish is excellent. I used this to back a drawer knob on a mini door that is the access to the bathroom plumbing in a 1920's built house.
