This is a fabulous invention (the keyless lock). I chose this over a wifi-enabled lock because it seems less likely to complicate entry/departure of guests in my vacation rental. I am giving it four stars because the lock's operation seems very sensitive to installation. The instructions state this, and we did our best to follow them to the letter. But we have (so far) been unable to achieve what it needs. As a result, we had to disable the "one-touch locking" feature on the lock (which allows you to lock the deadbolt when exiting by touching one key). We could never get it to work correctly, and at one point, the feature seemed to go slightly haywire -- unlocking the door when it should remained locked, and vice versa. After we disabled that feature -- which requires that a code be entered to unlock AND lock the deadbolt -- we had no more problems.

These keypads are great if you like to take walks/run without having to carry keys. Also, in emergencies, could give codes to friend to check on my dog. I created 3 different codes to give out -- one for family; one for emergency situations; one for cleaning crew. Easy to change codes
