This machine is amazing. I have two of them for my sons rooms because they are asthmatic and have allergies and chronic nose bleeds. The purifier is so sensitive that the indicator lights turn orange to show poor air quality after I fry something. The kitchen is a whole story down from the bedrooms. Within minutes of turning on the machine, the air is clean and the humidity is always nice and constant. The kids sleep better and the nosebleeds have been cut down significantly. Its very quiet and pretty easy to clean. Definitely worth the money.

The white plastic center pin and gray locking cap that goes through the middle of the filter casing of the KC-850U so it turns like a wheel broke, and Sharp informed me that they provide no support or ability to buy parts once you have owned the unit for over a year. So you spend $400, a tiny plastic piece breaks, and they offer no ability to replace it. I have exchanged multiple messages and Sharp just says, "Kindly find the nearest service center in your area for further assistance". But they will not provide me with the contact details of such a service center - they did send one, but it was for a defunct company with a non operational number. When I explained this they just told me again to "Kindly find the nearest service center in your area for further assistance". I explained I cant find one. They asked me to send my serial number and model number and when I did they registered me for a series of promotional emails without my permission.
