Meuble-lavabo double 60 po Robertson - armoire seulement

This piece is made of MDF, not "Mahogany". Figured this out when the drawer fronts started swelling from the bathroom humidity. We pulled the unit and replaced with a custom solid teak cabinet. The unit was trash already because of the swelling so I punched some holes to see how much of it was MDF vs solid wood. The answer is very little is solid wood. It's not even high quality MDF, more like cardboard. Product description needs to be updated to reflect it is NOT "solid wood"

I wrote a review several weeks ago titled “Disappointed” and have since reached out to Signature Hardware to see if they might offer a replacement drawer and side panel. Imagine my surprise when they said “no, so we’ll send out a complete replacement “! I couldn’t figure out how to edit my review so I’m writing this in all fairness. I’ve already received the new vanity. Great way to stand behind the 25 year manufacturer warranty and I wish I had called sooner.

I give this vanity a 3 ⭐️review because it is BEAUTIFUL and is exactly what I wanted!! HOWEVER after only 2 years the side of the vanity that is not directly against a wall is bowing/peeling as it is NOT wood but particle board☹️Another year later the top drawer handle came off-maybe a well placed washer behind the drawer could’ve prevented it? The top drawer fronts are particle board as well. If I ever need another vanity I will be very specific in finding an ALL wood one like I thought I was purchasing here. I can’t find anywhere in the description that mentions parts of it are made with particle board. It only says wood. I have not contacted them as of yet primarily because I couldn’t find my receipt until recently but after reading the manufacturer’s warranty it will probably be chalked up to ’wear & tear’. Now I’m trying to find someone to fix it. No one wants a small job like this anymore.

Beautiful vanity, fit perfectly in the space.
