Kind of a pain to install but truth be known, these things that need exacting measurements frustrate me. Probably won't frustrate a very handy person. The item itself is wonderful. We have it on the back of a solid wood door in a bathroom close to our pool area so it's wonderful to have a place to hang multiple towels and swimsuits to dry. The swivels are tight but work well. No mounting instructions came in the box which I thought was strange but when we went to the maker's website we easily downloaded the exact instructions for this piece.
