The description of this shower head says it is metal. The picture also looks like it's black and white. This shower head does NOT feel like metal, I have a metal one and it feels heavier and sturdier. It is also NOT white, it's grey. However, I am buying a second one of these because the spray is nice and although it feels cheaper and not metal, I think it's going to last longer than what I'm replacing because the metal one is pained black and in about 5 months the paint was peeling off and it looked horrible. This one, the grey plastic face of the shower head I am certain it will not be peeling because it's not painted. I will update if I'm wrong about the longevity. I did just want to make it clear that while the pipe attachment does feel like metal, the actual shower head feels like some sort of lightweight plastic and it is certainly not metal as the description says.
