These are natural split tiles so they’re not dimensionally perfect like a manufactured tile. Expect a few broken ones and having to finess them a little if you’re looking for a very flat surface. I used these outside on a wall and then sealed them with a permanent penetrating sealer. No failures, no call backs, the sealer is critical on a natural slate tile.

I was so disappointed in this slate. The color was no where near the color on the website and the quality was awful. I have tiled with slate before and it was wonderful to work with and was uniform in thickness. One piece of this slate was 1/8 in thick and other pieces were 3/8 - 1/2 in thick. The worse thing was that the slate was flaking off. There is no way this could ever be used on a floor! It is Awful. And , of course, you can't order a sample - You have to order a whole case, which now I have to ship back.
