The bottom of the sink is quite flat and the drain wasn't drilled low enough for the drain lip to sit flush. Even after drilling it lower, which wasn't easy since it is a stone sink, the flat bottom still doesn't drain well. We had to tilt the sink up at the front. It still pools a little but it mostly drains now.
