It is metal, not plastic, so that's a plus. It is a rain head though so pressure is not strong but gentle.

Save yourself a big headache and buy Moen. After doing our bathroom the Rift shower faucet went bad. In order to replace it they had to cut a hole in my wall. Or they would have had to take tile out. It went bad 6 months after installing it.
