We LOVE this thing! Best upgrade ever. We purchased a sufficiently rated countdown timer switch with intervals that seemed appropriate for a bathroom heater (Leviton DT102 15-30-1h-2h) and have been enjoying this heated mirror so much. A brief ON will defog the mirror, while 15 minutes ON (switching on a bit before getting into the shower) is long enough for it to heat up fully and make a huge difference when stepping OUT of the shower. 30mins is great for getting ready on a very cold morning. The mirror optics seem very clear and high quality. We did not do the installation ourselves, as it was put in during a whole house rewire the electricians opted to put in a recessed outlet box behind the mirror and just plug it in there, rather than hard wiring it. This will preserve flexibility going forward. Because it was going in a very particular place, and we have plaster rather than drywall, they opted to install cross pieces of plywood secured to the wall, and mounted the mirror to the wood strips. It’s very secure-feeling. My one negative point is the thing gets so warm that it’s not comfortable to lean my face close (bad eyesight) for putting on make-up. This is something that might require finessing your timing if it was your only mirror, or setting up a small well-lit mirror in another location. All in all, I still give this product an enthusiastic five stars! My husband would give it ten stars if he could -)

We bought this for a smaller bedroom after we bought a 800 watt unit for a larger bedroom. This unit works well with a plug in thermostat. Since we started using these instead of the heat pump, we’ve noticed no condensation on the windows. Great panels, I just wish they were less expensive.

Easy to install, the panel instantly raises the overall cozy level of the room. Mine runs on a motion and temperature detector via a smart outlet, turning one whenever we enter the bathroom or if the temp drops too low. The mirror itself is a little darker than the one we replaced, but hardly enough to worry about if you have normal lighting.

I work from home in an area of our home that is always very cold. I work in audio production and required a silent solution. This radiant heat panel is perfect, providing a comfortable working space for me. Very happy.
