I have a model that is probably 5 years old. I was trying to program in another code and I have looked all over for instructions. I wiped out all my codes but now I can't get any in. The super frustrating part of this is finding instructions for this basic model and having directions that work. I haven't found either one. I guess I have to go buy a new lock with instructions in it. I am super disappointed in this product and manuals.

Replacing my worn out weiser deadbolt with this new one, I can already tell the cheaper quality, more plastic parts and interior / exterior look is inconsistent. One star for ease of installation. Zero stars for programming! I spent two days!!! trying to program a user code into this deadbolt. Obviously everything is installed correctly, new batteries etc. I have factory reset soooo many times and still it won’t let me program a user code. What a piece of garbage!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I was excited to receive the Weiser Elements, by Weiser Electronic Deadbolt as we are in the middle of extensive renovations to our home. We recently installed a garden door that leads from our kitchen to our driveway and thought this would be the perfect addition. The coded lock is perfect for our lifestyle. We don’t have to worry about our kids losing a key and friends or family have an easy way to get into her home if they need to load her pets. The satin nickel matches our existing door knob and fits in with our decor. The one big drawback to this model is the back of the deadbolt is black plastic. It does not look as attractive from inside the house as it does on the outside. This is unfortunate, because we entertain often in our kitchen and our house is open concept.
