Screws are little short; corners are sharp and not well made of metal. Its not what I thought I was buying (I thought it was an exact duplicate of the stool I bought last year which has rounded corners and is better quality overall) I could return this stool but too much trouble. This stool will go in an upstairs walk in closet for reaching top shelves. It will be good enough. But if I were going to keep this stool downstairs where the grand-kids run around, no. It would not be safe if they fell or even brushed against the sharp corners. Disappointed in the overall quality and would NOT recommend this item.
