This was in my chlorinated pool for less than an hour and corroded. The aluminum does not seem to be coated to protect it. It does not work for chlorine or I would assume salt water. Wayfair sent me a second ladder thinking maybe the first had a manufacturing defect, it did the same thing.

Looks awesome, very sturdy, can't believe the price.

Worked perfectly on our dock. We did use a more substantial bracket to attach it to the boards (reason for only 4 stars). The brackets provided did not seem to be strong enough for continuous use. Ladder has been used for more then a year and is still in like new condition.
