The stand is sturdy and won’t tip easily. The flip up mechanism has sharp edges which might be a problem with small children. It is not made to be able to keep the roll of paper tilted up so it can fall off more easily. My purchase is for an older person to use at night so we tied some yarn to keep it from falling. In most instances, it should be fine.

This stand alone tissue holder is hefty and looks elegant in my guest bath. I did not want to drill holes in my vanity cabinet and this is just perfect. It needed to be assembled, which was quick and easy. I love the look and would definitely recommend.
