Don’t get the touch version. It commonly double “hits” the same button requiring you to enter the password twice.

The installation videos on my iPhone were very slow and almost not helpful. Installation of the WiFi connect module was very glitchy and took multiple attempts before the module was connected to my WiFi. The instructions for setting-up the code and fingerprint for the outside keypad were not even part of the installation videos. I had to resort to the web to determine how to do this. That was not acceptable when the outside keypad was part of my purchase. Also, wish the Approach Lock would work with both Apple HomeKit & Siri and Alexa. Alexa does work well, however, and so I do have voice activated locking/unlocking available.

Great idea, when it works. Have had constant issues with the lock not working. Won’t lock, won’t unlock. App tells me it’s locked when it’s not. Have tried to troubleshoot and recalibrate. Nothing had helped. Very frustrating for my Airbnb customers and I have to have an actual key hidden as a standby when the lock doesn’t work.

The latest version of this smart lock is greatly improved from the earlier version. The flat wider keypad is so much better. I like the status LEDs showing the progress of the dead bolt unlocking (Green) & locking (Red). The lock itself has the feel of a finely machined product. I prefer the bridge accessory over the combined Internet + Bluetooth interface. I think this lock uses less battery than the all time connected locks do. Best smart lock on the market I thinks.
