We ordered this to keep our toddler away from our fireplace throughout the winter. It has worked great! It is tall enough that I don't worry about him being able to lean over it. The panels lock into place so he isn't able to push them inwards, which is something I was originally worried about. We secured it to the wall, but had to place some wood spacers between the wall and the gate because the baseboard did not allow it to sit flush with the wall. It was a minor adjustment, but something most people will probably run into.
