I worked in the HVAC industrie for 28 years and i've seen owned and tested numerous thermostats. This Ecobee has been on my wall for over 8 years and i never had any issues with it. This to me is a marvel of technologie and so far has no match on the market. Even my hydro bill went down year after year since i installed it. One thing i admit, it is a little complicated to set and understand especialy the scheduling part but with time and patience, you will master this device like a pro. Note that it rarely happens but it could freeze or have a strange behavior, just take it off it's wall support for 10 seconds put it back and it should come back to normal.
