This is a very nice rug however it smells terrible.. I don’t even know how to describe it like a little bit of mild mildew smell and something foreign , not even sure. I have it airing outside right now because I can’t even take the smell.

This rug is beautiful and feels amazing underfoot. Got the thick rug pad and we love spending time on it. It sheds a little but we don't mind. Easy to vacuum too

I didn't scroll all of the photos I guess, so it's my fault for thinking handwoven meant that it wouldn't be on a backing but would be woven on both sides. I am also not thrilled that even though I searched for only cotton and wool, this rug came up, and it has nylon. Lastly, I'm annoyed that they branded a safaviyeh rug as all modern. Can you just be honest about the manufacturer so I can make an informed decision? Other than those things, it looks fine, and it's not worth the hassle of returning.
