I ordered this rug for my kitchen along with matching smaller rugs. It is ok but higher pile, or thicker than I thought, not quite 1/4" pile a little thicker than that. You want really low pile for kitchen, these are ok. They are a bit rough to the feel. Really the last kitchen rug I had was a Rug Market brand and was great, lower pile for kitchen and softer. I tried to save $100 this time but wasn't the best buy. However the colors and pattern on the rug is quite nice. I am happy with it but realize the difference in brands for next time. These aren't lifetime rugs, you use them they get yucky looking then you throw them out and buy new.
