We bought these Tanzeela habdmade jute rugs for our river house because we loved the natural texture as an alternative to the wool area rugs we usually buy. They clean easily.

A handsome rug. It is quite thin but the feel is softer than I expected for jute. I laid it over two pads to add thickness and it feels good to walk on. It lies relatively flat and I'm sure will be entirely flat when it's been down for a week or so. There is no smell, no dust. The color, as in the picture, is nearly that of the unstained oak floor and furniture. I'd call it honey gold, with darker and lighter strands running through it. Adds just enough texture to the room.
