I love it and fits and looks perfect in my kitchen. It is machine woven with non-slip backing but since I have it in my kitchen I ordered a mat pad. It makes it a little more thick and more comfortable to stand on while cooking. I have grey walls in my apartment and this has grey in its pattern with beige background. I just got it so can’t tell you about washing it but it does say you can and let it air dry. Also can clean spots with a dry cloth and/ or a wet cloth with soap. I gave it a four star simply because I haven’t washed it so don’t know how well it washes. But I love it because it goes nicely in my kitchen, it is very subtle in color.
