It states it is safe and non-toxic although the material is nylon—I hope this claim is legit since it is going in a newborn’s nursery. Color is very nice.

I wanted a rug for my child's room that had a pretty low pile (he has allergies), but also enough pile where he wouldn't complain it wasn't plush enough. This was a great compromise for us and we both love the color—bright blue but not too bright.
