Tapis brun / beige tissé à la main Ruot

The style of this rug is cute, it seems like it will unroll flat and has some weight to it unlike cheaper rugs. However, the rug arrived damp and mildewed inside the packaging, with discoloration and fiber disintegration. Wayfair sent a replacement and the second rug was ALSO damp, mildewed and discolored in spots, though not to the extent of the first. I can only guess that these are being stored in suboptimal conditions in the warehouse or something. I’m attempting to dry outdoors and then clean to remove the odor and hopefully improve the discoloration. I bought it for my kids’ room but I’m not sure I want it in there after having this problem.
