Well, when I had originally ordered this rug (see last pic), the title did not specify what this rug was woven from - the title was very recently changed. Plain and simple. I’m pretty sure that it was also originally described as just being made of wool…
The ad pictures do not show a very clear depiction of just how much of this rug is Jute…it can’t possibly be less than 80 (while claiming that it is only 50 Jute)…the only wool part is the gray pattern that’s interwoven. And yes, that part is soft, but there is not much of it, and it is not thick.
And so, I post pictures. You can tell by my pictures, it is definitely mostly Jute! Quite a rough rug for a young one to run around on, and we ordered the big one!! At least it doesn’t fold up to much! Quite a thin rug.
The ad representation of the color scheme is accurate, and I find that this rug matches well with a lot of various woods, textures…just not white or very light off-white. You can tell by my bedding - white bedding looks bad. The walls also pop in an unattractive way.
Darker, muted colors are great, deep jewel tones are also fine. Dark warm colors can maybe also work
Overall, this rug would work in a mostly foot traffic spot. But unfortunately, it’s just not a very cozy rug for the bedroom or living room.
I got this rug at a very steep discount, and I am not surprised that it was so discounted it sure has a beautiful look at first glance, but it definitely lacks comfort!
Got a runner to match because these rugs were just so cheap. I hope they last, at least. Will be a great decor item for a guest house once we are able to upgrade to something more cozy. These will have to do for now.
