Excellent rug, quite soft, and very cushy. Great as a runner! The pattern is modern and muted, and not purposefully "antique" which lends to my pro tip: even if you buy cheap stuff, buy things made of natural materials, not intentionally styled as aged, and buy what you love. Your home will look effortlessly curated and classy. As for the negative reviews... the rug wasn't yellow as some other folks reported, but boy is she a shedder at first. But that's just what you should expect with a brand new wool rug. Do a few extracurricular rounds of excessive vacuuming, and you'll get drastically less daily shedding. Unfortunately the only real con I've run into is that it's taken a long time to fully smooth out, even being weighted down on raised areas. I'd definitely suggest this rug for people with cats with penchants for stretching their little greasy mitts on anything that feels remotely textured - I really wanted a wool rug but without loops, or as close to no loops as possible. Shockingly hard to find! I think the search term is "cut pile" rug, which this one gets pretty close to. Any darker portion of the pattern is looped, while all lighter parts of this pattern are cut. So far so good with kitty claws. Overall, highly recommend. This rug will definitely last.
