musty smell, like the color for my kitchen sink area but not sure if it will stain easily

I had such high hopes for these rugs, but they were delivered in clear plastic bags and there was (what looked like) rust stains on the fibers. They had a horrendous smell and tons of lint coming off them. The rug looks like it was thrown together with scraps of material that were all different shapes and sizes. I was very disappointed. I will be returning.
