This rug is an excellent alternative to artificial fabric. Because my little one will be playing on this, I wanted it to be a natural fabric. Without the padding underneath it is a bit firm, but still soft enough to play on. It’s incredibly soft. My only complaint is that it does slide quite a bit, so a grip mat underneath is likely necessary for those with hardwood floors. The color is as pictured. Very happy with the price and quality.
