The rug color is just as pictured. And if you care about pile height the this rug does have a little bit of cushion.

I have purchased a lot of rugs in the past few years as we have hard wood floors throughout our house and have pets. This rug is by far my favorite. It laid flat immediately - nothing needed to hold the corners down. I have the 9 x 12 size so its very large. It is so soft!!! The colors are just gorgeous - its a warm neutral with grey/beige accents. I am just so impressed with this one.

Perfect size and the fabrics is plush. The only thing I was disappointed with is that I bought rug, as it was listed as machine washable and tag states recommend to professionally clean? ‍♀️
