The design is excellent and the texture feels great. That said, you may want to place a mat underneath it during the winter.

The rug is very soft and beautifully colored. The blue is not as deep as I was hoping for, although there are some deeper notes throughout. I was expecting a deeper blue-grey kind of color for the overall area. I will say it is very soft but still on the thinner side in terms of plushness. 1” pile but it’s not a dense 1” and can still flattened bc the fibers are so soft and light. I’d recommend a 1/4” rug pad for a little extra cushion. We got one and aside from getting the edges to lay flat (*sigh*) it makes a great difference on wood floors.
