The design definitely looks a little on the cheap side in person, but the material more than makes up for it. Very much waterproof and the backing is amazing, it definitely doesn't move around on the floor. Doesn't look like it will last very long with a lot of wear and tear, but for the pricepoint it is well worth it. This isn't one of those soft and plush rugs but you shouldn't be expecting that anyway if you're looking for animal hide products. Real hide patch rugs are $800 plus.
