This is a beautiful but very fragile rug. It is definitely not pet friendly. It snags easily and if it gets dirty, it's difficult to clean because most carpet cleaning products will fade it. It does fine with a vacuum cleaner, just don't use the brushes. We had the same one for 4 years and just got another one because we really love it!!
