For an outside door mat & price of the larger mat.... it's not very thick, at all. More like a bath mat. It's so colorful and cheerful, I will just use it over the existing mat.

Love this rug!! Looks great in front of the front door. I ended up putting it inside on the tile floor and it stays right in place, no slipping, so feel safer when entering with wet shoes.
