The color is pretty, and it seems to be well. It's much more scratchy than any of our other wall, rugs, and it's definitely not navy blue with light blue pattern. It's navy blue with a whitish green set of pieces that approximate a diamond pattern. The lighter color isn't raised at all (pile is the same height as the rest of the rug). It looks like different types of wool were used when weaving it because there are large "stripes" across the rug about a foot wide where it seems like there's significant color variation. We kept it because it's generally the right color, it's the right size, and we wanted a wall rug, and the price is right for wool. But if you're looking for something really excellent, this is not it.
