I selected these treads because they come with a backing adhesive so that they stay put on the stairs without an extra step. That is part is useful (so far). However, they are not as thick or durable as the photos suggest, so I was disappointed by that, as I placed them on the stairs down to my basement, where lots of muddy boots tread. These are good enough, but not a great value for the cost in my view.

I really do like these treads. We just build a huge patio and added French doors out the back of our house. These treads are exactly what I was looking to place on the steps out (needs to be painted first). I do have an issue though. I’m not sure where the self adhesive is. There was a thin plastic coating on the back of each one, we peeled them off it’s simple a white backing. Main reason for the 3 stars. It feels like it should have a little bit of grab, but on our steps (wooden) they don’t. My husband said he would have to staple them in place. We both have elderly parents and don’t want the treads sliding out from under them. With all that said, I do like them enough to order a second set because they really are exactly what I was looking for.

I received the diamond pattern self-adhesive stair tread in brown. They are indeed of nice carpet quality and pretty. However, I was a bit surprised at the "adhesive" which is advertised for the product. It's not an adhesive, per se, but more of an applied weight non-slip surface. I ordered them to use outside and will definitely need to add a sticky surface to keep them on the deck boards. It's unfortunate, as well, that they arrived folded in half. This creates a middle crease that isn't easy to flatten. I don't have indoor stairs upon which to try them but would be interested to see if they work better on a finished surface.

Diamond Pattern Self-Adhesive Stair Tread (Set Of 7) (Set of 7) Look 10: I was not disappointed when I received the Diamond Pattern Self-Adhesive Stair Tread (Set Of 7) (Set of 7), they look great and are super easy to install. I did think they were going to be smaller, but I was surprised that they were longer, which was great, because it covered more than I thought it would. The Diamond Pattern Self-Adhesive Stair Treads are exactly as the picture shows it online and I am glad I got them for my basement stairs. The only thing I would say is I wish they were a little thicker for more for a plush look, but they are perfect for my basement stairs, as these stairs don’t get a lot of traffic, so they don’t need a thicker carpet. Price 10: I realize this category is relative, because everyone’s price points are different, but the Diamond Pattern Self-Adhesive Stair Treads are priced right, and they will last a long time, because they are it is strong and durable. Material 10: The Diamond Pattern Self-Adhesive Stair Treads are made of Polyester, with a rubber backing material. They were easy to take off and move, I laid one of them wrong and needed to fix it and it was easy to take up and adjust. I was worried that by doing that they would not stick back down and come up, but it stayed in place and even when I vacuumed them. The stair treads clean up easy, I ran my vacuum over them once I put them down and the vacuum didn’t have troubles going over them and the stair treads stayed in place. Quality 10: The quality of the Diamond Pattern Self-Adhesive Stair Tread is an excellent and it they should hold up for a long time, but I think if they were being used in a high traffic area, they might not stand up as well, but I am incredibly happy with the Diamond Pattern Self-Adhesive Stair Treads, and I would recommend them highly.

I was a little disappointed with the appearance and quality of these treads. The color is more of a dark charcoal rather than a gray - I wanted a gray but not too light. You can certainly purchase something much better at the price point. However, the length and width of these is perfect for my 120 year old creaky stairs. I like that they are a bit thicker than I expected and that they have the adhesive backing, which I have not found in an in store tread (though I must admit I have not really searched for them). I will purchase more to complete my project but suspect that these will not be a long lasting quality product.
