sort of strangely textured/lumpy which makes it interesting to walk on. i probably wouldn't buy again but it gets the job done in my entryway.

I really like the look of this rug, and it is a good base piece for layering a smaller rug over the top of it. The only reason I’m just giving it three stars is because even with frequent vacuuming it sheds quite a bit. I don’t intend to keep it in my living room for long, but I will repurpose it in a room that gets less traffic. Definitely use a rug pad.
