Tapis en polyester tissé à la main Shaylène

Unfortunately the rug was incorrectly titled “Wool” when in fact it was artificial silk, labeled “artsilk” on the product. To say the least I was very disappointed when it arrived and it was clear that it was not wool, plus the inconvenience of having to write letters, emails and phone calls with your sales people. This was additionally disappointing. I can say that the sales people contacted me immediately the morning after sending the original email. I appreciated the company making it right by accepting and arranging the return and providing a full refund. Which hasn’t been completed as of this review.

This is so elegant and lovely. Although it is a 'solid' color, like human hair it is made of many fine threads of different colors including a subtle gold throughout. It will go with anything because this creates depth, dimension and texture. It is very soft to touch. Although the strands are long, they are woven thick enough to cover the bottom. You do not see the backing at all. The only negative was an initial musty smell which went away after airing a bit - I rested it on a couple of luggage racks with the ceiling fan on. I wish I had been able to get a bigger one!

This carpet is not what the online description says. The rug I ordered was supposed to be made of wool with a cotton backing, and handwoven. The first rug delivered was made of polyester; the second (replacement to correct the first error) was made of art silk. I'm getting a full refund, but now I have two 7'9" rugs to deal with that I did not ask for!! If they want them back, I have to deal with returning them. If they don't, I have to deal with disposing of them. Either way, it is an unnecessary hassle for me and I do not have a rug... Very disappointed. But Wayfair support was professional and polite.

This rug is not as plush as other similar rugs in this category from manufacturer. What I do not like about it is there is a very small accent in the rug of red which is very bright and a synthetic mylar foil. It looks like tinsel on a christmas tree. I find this to be tacky and lessen the aesthetic of the rug. It could be seen as fun and quirky but does not suit my taste. This detail is not appropriately called out in the item description. If this suits your design scheme I find these rugs to be a great quality for the price point.
