I am quite impressed with the soft, thick feel of this carpet underfoot. I don't think it needs a pad - will try out for a while without. The horizontal and vertical lines are a subtle metallic gold touch - not at all overstated. Well made.

It’s a beautiful piece. The only reason I am giving four stars is because it pretty thin. It’s a nylon pile not wool so I would recommend using with a rug pad for it not to slip. Also the description and picture shows gold stripe between rectangular shaped in rug. The one I received has silver color between the rectangles which I was pleasantly surprised and prefer.

Needed a new rug for entry. It's light so if you have heavy traffic I wouldn't get it. Thick rug with extra material on the ends to make it not curl up which is nice. Fast shipping. Rug unrolled and went flat quick.
