It looks and feels pretty nice, but it smells AWFUL and the smell will not die. I bought this in September 2024, and as of March 2025 it is STILL off-gassing. I aired it out, cleaned it, and I vacuum it regularly, but the fumes are unrelenting. Do NOT put this anywhere children will be playing (or breathing). Or any human, for that matter. I have been patient but I actually worry it's harming me, so I am throwing it away today.

I genuinely love this rug. Looks and feels royal. My advice to those that purchase this rug, vacuum on arrival to avoid long term shedding. It's 80% wool and 20% cotton so a little shedding is expected.
