This rug is more silver than gray. Yes, you get gray depending on which way the pile is leaning...but really more silver. I got three of them for my bedroom, to cover my wood floors. They are very luxurious, and make the room seem really warm. The height of these rugs is about 4 to 5 inches. Seriously...they are very full and puffy. I wasn't sure about the quality of them, but they are made very nicely. It says you can vacuum them, but because the pile is so tall, it gets stuck in the vacuum so you have to kind of float the vacuum along the top of it. Probably better to just take them outside and shake them.
