Quality is not as nice as I expected after reading the reviews. Yes, its a tall thread but as for thickness, there could have been way more thread fill. Running my fingers through the thread I easily hit the backing. You can see the backing very easily when I pull the thread back slightly as seen in my pictures. Will most definitely need a carpet pad. I expected it to be way more plush and thick.

This is a beautiful rug. Very thick and plush. There is no black color in the rug, however, it is a deep grey.
