This rug is soft and has a silvery sheen to it. It’s not a thick rug and hasn’t laid completely flat yet, but it does have a soft feeling under foot and a deep cut pattern. While I haven’t had to machine launder it yet, that is truly a great feature for an area rug. I will update with how that works out when I need to launder it.

The color is good, a very neutral cream. I like the pattern in the rug. It is supposed to be washable, but it cannot fit in a standard or even an oversized residential washer. It must be taken to the laundrymat and washed in an industrial size washer. I think that instead of fully washing it will be easier to spot clean.

This is such a pretty and CHARMING rug. I was just so shocked it was so thin. I have never seen a rug that had basically no backing on it. I'm sure that will make it great for washing and maybe that is the reason for it. That being said... you are going to definitely need RUG TAPE. It will never stay situated on the floor without it. I got the cream runner and it's going to be dirty a lot, so getting washed a lot. Every time I wash it, it's going to have to get retaped. It's SO pretty but I don't know how practical it is. It works for me now, but we will see about the future. I would definitely recommend if placing in an area that is not high traffic.

I would this iridescent. Like velvet that shifts and changes tones. VERY shiny. Will work great for us—low pile and no loops for animal hair to really get into. Says it is machine washable, but it would have to be an industrial machine.
