Appears shiney. Because of the nap and material, this rug appears to be shiney. Probably would have returned it if I had not had 4 men lined up to move furniture to get the rug put down on the day after it arrived. I did not open the box until they were ready to use it. My furniture is extremely heavy and it took 4 men to move it. the rug is beautiful, just appears shiney or glossy. Never seen that in an area rug before. Different.

The color is exactly what I was looking far. It looks great in my den. It has held up great so far. I would highly recommend this rug to anyone looking for this color palette.

Came quickly and packaged well. Looks good with chairs I recently purchased from Wayfair. Will likely order a larger one for my foyer.
