Hand-Knotted Wool & Silk Damask Sunset Rug — Handmade in Nepal
Make a vivid, statement-making impact with this striking transitional area rug, hand-knotted from a luxurious blend of wool and silk by master artisans in Nepal. The Pelago design layers ornate damask florals and scrolling acanthus motifs in soft teal and ivory over a rich, sun-washed field of orange and rust. The bold contrast between the warm, vibrant base and the cooling teal damask pattern creates a striking, painterly effect, as though an antique tapestry has been bathed in golden sunset light.
The wool and silk blend brings exceptional depth to this design, with silk fibres enhancing the vibrant orange and rust tones while highlighting the intricate teal damask detailing with a subtle natural sheen. Each rug is meticulously hand-knotted on traditional looms, an intensive process that allows for the fine layering of pattern and colour wash that defines this dramatic composition.
At a generous 9' x 12', this rug is a true showstopper, ideal for large living rooms, dining rooms, or eclectic spaces, where its vivid, sunset-inspired palette and ornate damask design can serve as a bold, captivating focal point.
