it definitely needs a rug pad it slides very badly. It does seem well made and if you are looking for VERY neutral colors this could work for you maybe. It isn't what I need and I hope I haven't waited to long to return it. I have been in the middle of moving. I got the smallest size to see if I liked it and thought I could use it somewhere, but it slides too bad

Nice rug and it looks exactly like the photo. It really is a great neutral and anchored my dinning room well. I took off one star as it isn't very soft. No problem with that and it isn't rough, just not as soft as other rugs I have.
