This is a pretty nice rug -- good color (like toasted oatmeal, not too white and not too beige; a bit lighter than in my photo), sturdy, interesting pattern, not too heavy and not too light, and it's woven NOT tufted (so far as I can tell). Mine arrived tightly rolled up and distinctly musty, so I put it out on an old dog fence panel (like a rack) and let it air out in the sun for a full week, and it's fine. It smells like new wool now, and as a knitter I love the smell of clean wool. I have a baker's dozen of Solo Rugs, bought over the years, and while they're mostly not great quality (not tightly woven), the colors (turquoise, pink, yellow, variations on those) are hard to find anywhere else. What's more, I know I can take one of their rugs outside, stick it on the fence panel, and wash it with a hose and Eucalan and it will dry in a few days of hot sun and be genuinely clean. I couldn't do that with a thicker rug (like a gabbeh) or a tufted rug. This is also officially cat approved.

This carpet looks and feels like great quality, and overall I really loved it. The color and style were beautiful. However, it was shedding a lot, and even after cleaning it several times, the fibers kept coming out. Unfortunately, because I have allergies, it just wasn’t working for me and I had to throw it away, which was really disappointing because otherwise I truly liked the carpet.

It’s neutral but still has just enough texture and pattern to keep it from feeling flat or boring. It’s really soft underfoot, has a nice subtle dimension to it, and blends perfectly with everything without overpowering the space. Exactly what I wanted for a calm, cozy feel.

I’ll start by saying that this rug is QUALITY. You can tell it’s handmade and every detail is beautiful. However, it is much more grey than beige, and doesn’t exactly look like the photos. It’s also very very scratchy and not comfortable on your feet.

This is a great rug. It’s so plush and soft while also not being too thick. It’s heavy enough to stay in place without needing a liner underneath. My biggest complaint is that it’s not pet friendly. My cat’s claws easily pull at the fibers when he runs around. So, if you have pets I don’t think this would be a good fit.
