After one year, this rug faded so much that I had to get rid of it. I live in one of the cloudiest cities in the US so I don't think it would hold up very well in a sunnier climate. The overall quality of this rug was very disappointing to me - I thought it looked too vibrant and cheap. Definitely not worth the money paid. There are much nicer options to choose from.
