These turned out pretty good. We put them on wood stair treads that was unfinished for now. We did have to to a carpet tape to keep it in place but I believe I've read that's expected if it's on unfinished wood. I think it would stick on a painted surface. I'll update this when we paint. It is low enough to be able to vacuum with a stick vacuum with ease. You may need to vacuum it in the direction of the treads if using a stick vacuum or vacuum without a brush just to get every spot as darker colors show so k fuzz and bits like that. Overall , they have stuck well with the carpet tape and no one has triped or slipped on them! Good buy!

They would have been perfect if they had the adhesive backing that was advertised. We can’t use them until new ones arrive. Please send the right ones.
