It came with a number of deep scratches which showed right up because of the light background. The plastic it was shipped in had no damage so it had to have been done before it was packaged.

I cannot stress how much I love this rug! We use it on our Mediterranean style sun porch and it is the perfect addition. Easy to clean and beautiful to look at, so shocked at how perfectly it works with our decor.
