This is not your traditional rug by any means, and that’s both a good and bad thing. If you’re looking for something that looks and feels expensive and exquisite, this is not the rug for you.
First off, this rug doesn’t come rolled up in a tall cylindrical shape. You’re going to get a small cube shaped package that in no way says “rug”. I unpacked the rug and let it spread out for two days before putting any furniture on it.
This rug is for situations that are far too messy for your traditional, nice oriental rug. And it’s perfect for me. I use it under my kitchen table that’s frequently inhabited by a child that hasn’t mastered non-messy eating. Crumbs, juices, and food morsels routine find their way to the floor. And this rug handles them like a champ. It’s super easy to SWEEP, not vacuum. My vacuum just sucked up the entire rug like it was a thick bedsheet. But you can easily sweep any crumbs off and soap and water has taken care of any stains I’ve gotten. So if you have an area that you know is far too messy for something nice, this is a great alternative.
I’ve not put it in the washing machine yet. That’s going to be a future test and I’ll update this review once I do.
Just know what you’re getting with this the before purchasing. I wouldn’t use it in a formal room with high quality furnishings. But a somewhat messy kitchen, sun room, basement…this rug will bring a higher aesthetic than a normal plain rug. Not sure how it would do outside, but I wouldn’t recommend it.. Carl.
