The island looks like the marketing photos and was easy to put together.

This island looks great, but it's extremely low quality with very thin comp board. The finish flakes off easily, which was noticeable when inserting the studs. When assembling, it's extremely unstable and the board is too thin to get any kind of decent embedment on the hardware, which results in the entire base being unstable and twisty. It's impossible to set the base up to attach the bar in step 12 without the entire unit breaking off the side/splintering the thin comp board and completely destroying the base. This product is a low quality piece of junk that we wish we had never spent money on. Now we're stuck with splintered comp board and pieces of this island that we will probably just end up burning. Lesson learned. Edit August 2026: The company did reach out and sent replacement, so they certainly tried to make things right. Added a star for the customer service. When assembling the island, just make sure that the step that has the shelves suspeneded vertically after attaching to one side, make sure someone(s) are holding the shelves or something is supporting them so they do not fall over. Plus need to turn the base over VERY carefully after both sides are attached, because it is still pretty wobbly at this point. The directions do not say how to turn the product, they just show all of a sudden in the next step the product is turned over.

Lovely island. It is spacious, tall, colors are exactly as shown in image. I bought this for extra space to cut vegetables and to set big toaster oven. Now, I realized it can store my gigantic instapot and vitamix all within shelves. )
